COWAN LAKE STATE PARK is a RV Park in or near the town of Wilmington. It is a largish and maybe almost large park with a listed 237 sites to park your camper. This park does not seem to have pull thru sites. Do not worry too much about the length of your very long camper since the sites are built for large RVs. Electric hookups are provided. Power is no problem – the park has 50 amp service. At a minimum, make sure you have some drinking water as water hookups are not provided. You will not be able to stay indefinitely as there are no sewer connections. The park has a more authentic camping experience than some RV parks due to the lack of WiFi. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a TV Watcher – no cable tv at this park. Go ahead and bring along little Sparky since this park is Animal Friendly. If you like to REALLY get outside, you would be thrilled to know that you can camp in a tent here. This park has some waterfront so you might get to enjoy the added benefit of the peace of water. If the days get hot, you can enjoy the shade trees that exist here. I am confident that the kind folks at COWAN LAKE STATE PARK would want you to give them a try if you are passing by Wilmington.
