CHAPARRAL FAMILY CAMPGROUND is a RV Park in or near the town of Salem. It is a largish and maybe almost large park with a reported 225 pads to park your camper. This park does not seem to have pull thru sites. Your large Class A motorhome should have no trouble in the longer slots this park has. You will be able to connect your RV to electric. There is NO 50 amp service at the park. No need to fill the freshwater since there are water hookups. Some really good news is that a sewer connection is provided. Be prepared to actually put the computer down and enjoy your coffee as there is no 802.11 WiFi. Really this shouldn’t be an issue for campers, honestly, but there is not a Cable TV hookup. Animals are welcome here. Not sure this is a good thing for a high class RV experience, but tent camping is allowed. We tend to enjoy parks that have some connection to a waterfront, like a river or lake – and this park has that. If getting in a pool is your thing then you are in luck at this park – it has pool access. If the days get hot, you can enjoy the shade trees that exist here. Do not just drive by Salem – instead stop and rest at CHAPARRAL FAMILY CAMPGROUND.
