BLM – BIG PINES RECREATION AREA is a RV Park in or near the town of Yakima. It is a somewhat small park with a possible 40 slots to park your home away from home. This park has pull thru slots to make setting up a snap. Do not worry too much about the length of your 45 footer since the sites are built for large RVs. Make sure your generator is fueled up for this park. Electric looks to not be provided. The largest electric service is probably 30 amp. Regardless of other connections, water, surprisingly enough, is not a provided service. You will not be able to stay indefinitely as there are no sewer connections. Be prepared to actually put the computer down and enjoy your coffee as there is no WiFi. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a TV Addict – no cable tv at this park. Go ahead and bring along little Fluffy since this park is Animal Friendly. Not sure this is a good thing for a high class RV experience, but tent camping is allowed. This park has some waterfront so you might get to enjoy the added benefit of the peace of water. Shade trees are at this RV park so you will be able to sip root beer float in style. Do not just drive by Yakima – instead stop and rest at BLM – BIG PINES RECREATION AREA.
