BLACK CANYON OF THE GUNNISON NATL PARK/SOUTH RIM CAMPGROUND is a RV Park in or near the town of Montrose. It is a medium park with a claimed 88 slots to park your recreational vehicle. This park has pull thru slots to make setting up a snap. If your coach is 36 feet or longer you might want to call and see if you are too long. You will be able to connect your RV to electric. One really nice thing is the 50 amp electric service. Regardless of other connections, water, surprisingly enough, is not a provided service. You will not be able to stay indefinitely as there are no sewer connections. If you are lucky, you might be able to use your cellular for internet, but otherwise there is no Wireless Internet. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a Couch Potato – no cable tv at this park. Go ahead and bring along little Sparky since this park is Animal Friendly. Some parts of this RV Park are more rustic than others with tent camping being accepted. If the days get hot, you can enjoy the shade trees that exist here. I am confident that the kind folks at BLACK CANYON OF THE GUNNISON NATL PARK/SOUTH RIM CAMPGROUND would want you to give them a try if you are passing by Montrose.
