BIG BEND DAM- LAKE SHARPE is a RV Park in or near the town of Fort Thompson. It is a medium park with a reported 81 sites to park your camper. This park has pull thru slots to make setting up a snap. If you are driving a very large camper, then you are in luck since there are some extra long pads. No need for a generator since the park has electric. You will be thrilled to know that 50 amp service is provided. At a minimum, make sure you have some drinking water as water hookups are not provided. Probably due to the nature of the park and its location, sewer connections are not available. If you are lucky, you might be able to use your cellular for internet, but otherwise there is no 802.11 Wireless Internet. Really this shouldn’t be an issue for campers, honestly, but there is not a Cable TV hookup. Animals are welcome here. Some parts of this RV Park are more rustic than others with tent camping being accepted. Some shade trees do exist, which also make the park more scenic and attractive.
