BENTSEN-RIO GRANDE VALLEY STATE PARK is a RV Park in or near the town of Mission. It is a mostly medium park with a possible 76 rv sites to park your camper. This park has no pull thru sites. The owners of the park were careful not to claim that the park can handle a large RV. We do not believe the park has electric hookups. Do not expect to run both air conditioners as 30 amp seems to be the largest service. At a minimum, make sure you have some drinking water as water hookups are not provided. You will want to ensure an empty gray and black tank as sewer connections are not provided here. The park has a more authentic camping experience than some RV parks due to the lack of 802.11 WiFi. We have no idea of the over the air TV, but we do know that no Cable TV is provided. This is the one park you might want to leave behind Paws since it is not really a pro-animal park. Not sure this is a good thing for a high class RV experience, but tent camping is allowed. Do not just drive by Mission – instead stop and rest at BENTSEN-RIO GRANDE VALLEY STATE PARK.
