ALEXANDER SPRINGS RECREATION AREA is a RV Park in or near the town of Altoona. It is a small to medium park with a listed 67 rv sites to park your recreational vehicle. This park must not have any pull thru sites that we are aware. If your coach is 36 feet or longer you might want to call and see if you are too long. Bring your generator as this park does not have electric hookups. Do not expect to run both air conditioners as 30 amp seems to be the largest service. For the true RV experience – water hookups are provided – much better than camping in a tent! You will want to ensure an empty gray and black tank as sewer connections are not provided here. The park has a more authentic camping experience than some RV parks due to the lack of 802.11 WiFi. Really this shouldn’t be an issue for campers, honestly, but there is not a Cable TV hookup. Go ahead and bring along little Sparky since this park is Animal Friendly. If you like to REALLY get outside, you would be thrilled to know that you can camp in a tent here. If getting in a pool is your thing then you are in luck at this park – it has pool access. If the days get hot, you can enjoy the shade trees that exist here. Maybe if you are planning on visiting Altoona, you might find a great place to stay at ALEXANDER SPRINGS RECREATION AREA.
