ALASKA CANOE AND CAMPGROUND is a RV Park in or near the town of Sterling. It is a fairly small park with a possible 25 spots to park your camper. This park must not have any pull thru sites that we are aware. The owners of the park were careful not to claim that the park can handle a very long RV rig. No need for a generator since the park has electric. Do not expect to run both air conditioners as 30 amp seems to be the largest service. Another of the basics – water hookups – is provided. Adding to your RVing joy, make sure you bring your stinky slinky as there are sewer connections at the park. One of the more civilized services – WiFi – is provided by the owners of the park. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a Couch Potato – no cable tv at this park. Indications are that this park is not particularly animal friendly. Some parts of this RV Park are more rustic than others with tent camping being accepted. Shade trees are at this RV park so you will be able to sip gin and tonics in style. If you ever get near Sterling make sure you stop on by the ALASKA CANOE AND CAMPGROUND.

I just wanted to tell you what a wonderful employee you have in Shirley. I have been making reservations for our upcoming trip on the Alaska Highway for the past 30 days. I have sent many, many emails and made many telephone calls in an effort to obtain RV campsites. The quick and very informative response I received from Shirley was the best and quickest response I received. Shirley provided all the information I needed to make a reservation and she responded to my email in a very timely manner. I have not had that kind of a response from any other campground. I really appreciated her professional and timely response to my inquiry. I think she deserves a raise– just kidding but please know what a gem you have in Shirley.
