AKELEY CITY PARK AND CAMPGROUND is a RV Park in or near the town of Akeley. It is a fairly small park with a claimed 24 spots to park your recreational vehicle. This park has pull thru pads if you are uncomfortable with backing your rig. Do not worry too much about the length of your large RV since the sites are built for large RVs. No need for a generator since the park has electric. Do not expect to run both air conditioners as 30 amp seems to be the largest service. No need to fill the freshwater since there are water hookups. You will not be able to stay indefinitely as there are no sewer connections. If you are lucky, you might be able to use your cellular for internet, but otherwise there is no 802.11 Wireless Internet. Really this shouldn’t be an issue for campers, honestly, but there is not a Cable TV hookup. Go ahead and bring along little Barky since this park is Animal Friendly. If you like to REALLY get outside, you would be thrilled to know that you can camp in a tent here. We tend to enjoy parks that have some connection to a waterfront, like a river or lake – and this park has that. Shade trees are at this RV park so you will be able to sip jack and coke in style.
