I grew up here in Texas and I have memories of Battleship Texas. Its definitely a must see  place to visit.

You can explore on your own or enjoy and hour and half tour full of history, and seeing almost the entire ship. Experience the ship’s history with looking and feeling what it was like for the service folks that actually sailed the high sea’s. You will be amazed how small the sleeping quarters were and even the mess hall where their meals were served. After you have spent the afternoon or morning touring the ship. Make your way over to the San Jacinto Monument it happens to be the tallest stone memorial in the world and its right near the battleship Texas. It stand 570 feet tall. While your here,  go by and check out the San Jacinto battleground with the San Jacinto museum.
