Dutchmen Travel Trailer

When you hear the words Dutchmen travel trailer normally it would conjure up the idea of a travel trailer with the tradename Dutchmen on it.

That is exactly the meaning of this page – it is specific to the travel trailer with the Dutchmen marking.

But Dutchmen can also be used in the context of a much, much larger company. Dutchmen ended up buying several smaller brands and has become a holding company of RV manufacturers. Dutchmen Manufacturing company has in turn been swallowed up by a much larger company, Keystone RV which is also owned by Thor Industries.

In general, if you follow the RV industry you’ll see that many brands are in one way or another owned by two very large companies: Thor Industries and Forest River RV. There are other independents out there still, but they are generally very much smaller companies.

A scan of the Dutchmen RV pages will tell you that in 2018 you cannot buy an RV with a Dutchmen logo on its side. I don’t know why that is, but in my estimation the manufacturers (like Dutchmen) simply produce the badges/brands that sell the best. Perhaps the Dutchmen RVs just didn’t sell so well in these modern days.
