Showering in an RV when your hot water heater is very small
This seems like a silly topic, but you shower quite a bit and having a shower and a hot water heater is a BIG improvement on camping. So why not do it right?!
The “just enough” RV showering technique
In this technique, you would turn on the cold water so that it barely comes out, but comes out enough to shower.
Then mix-in enough hot water to get the shower to a nice temperature.
Now since you have very much reduced flow, you will be amazed at how long your hot water will last.
Use the valve on the end of the flexible shower head
One way to stretch the hot water heater is to not worry about hot water capacity but instead to only use the water sparingly at full power.
First, get the temperature correct.
Then using the on/off button on the shower head itself (most RV showers are equipped with this) you spritz yourself down, turn-off, lather, turn-on to rinse and do this until you are satisfied.
