SCHAFER STATE PARK is a RV Park in or near the town of Elma. It is a small park with a claimed 51 pads to park your recreational vehicle. This park does not seem to have pull thru sites. If you are driving a large Class A motorhome, then you are in luck since there are some extra long pads. Electric hookups are provided. There is NO 50 amp service at the park. Another of the basics – water hookups – is provided. You will want to ensure an empty gray and black tank as sewer connections are not provided here. The park has a more authentic camping experience than some RV parks due to the lack of 802.11 WiFi. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a Couch Potato – no cable tv at this park. Animals are welcome here. Not sure this is a good thing for a high class RV experience, but tent camping is allowed. We tend to enjoy parks that have some connection to a waterfront, like a river or lake – and this park has that. If the days get hot, you can enjoy the shade trees that exist here. I am confident that the kind folks at SCHAFER STATE PARK would want you to give them a try if you are passing by Elma.
