MATANUSKA GLACIER STATE RECREATION SITE is a RV Park in or near the town of Palmer. It is a very small park with a reported 12 spots to park your camper. This park must not have any pull thru sites that we are aware. The owners of the park were careful not to claim that the park can handle a Big Rig. Bring your generator as this park does not have electric hookups. The largest electric service is probably 30 amp. Regardless of other connections, water, surprisingly enough, is not a provided service. You will not be able to stay indefinitely as there are no sewer connections. The park has a more authentic camping experience than some RV parks due to the lack of WiFi. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a TV Watcher – no cable tv at this park. This is the one park you might want to leave behind Rusty since it is not really a pro-animal park. Not sure this is a good thing for a high class RV experience, but tent camping is allowed. Shade trees are at this RV park so you will be able to sip gin and tonics in style. Maybe if you are planning on visiting Palmer, you might find a great place to stay at MATANUSKA GLACIER STATE RECREATION SITE.
