Putting a chain on or placing it on the roof sounds like acceptable solutions, except for those of us less able to negotiate going up ladders with heavy objects or bending and getting down on our knees and getting back up. I have trouble just check to see if the spare is still there let alone secure. Is seems, the RV is designed more towards the younger and nimbler members of our society. Have you tried turning the TV antenna booster on and off lately! Oh well, I can always count on the better half to be their as a helping crutch.

  • Tech Issues • Re: Lippert Axles with Sealed Bearing System May 24, 2015
With all the tags the mfg puts on your RV, why don’t they put one on that says “DO NOT LIFT TRAILER USING THE AXLES” use the frame for and aft???
Another item, I picked up not sure where tho. Sealed bearing are good as they don’t require you to get down and grease them occasionally, but, there is always a but. Trailers sitting in one spot for a long time, the grease settles to the bottom of the “housing” thus causing some of the bearings to be “dry”. I would think with a little driving the grease would recover all the bearings. But do not know the amount of damage that may occur, if any.

    Image Good Morning again …

Looks like there’s going to be wedding bells in our family. Kristin’s boyfriend called both families, parents and grandparents to Lonestar Restaurant last night and asked her father for her hand in marriage. What a great night, joy, laughter and tears. Wedding – May 7, 2016

  • Tech Issues • Re: Elect wiring diagram/schematic May 24, 2015
I don’t think there is a schematic available unless someone has taken the time to trace and diagram all the circuits. Unfortunately no two of these things are wired exactly the same. These wiring systems are notorious for loose wire caps and wires jiggling loose where they are twisted together. Your best bet is to try to trace the affected circuit and check to be sure wires are joined together tightly.

Dallas, I was just thinking a big truck repair facility would have the equipment. Where ever you take it, you still have to have the know how. Good thing you were keeping an eye on them.

Just had to post. Noonday, Texas, Smith County. Tyler, Texas is my hometown but Noonday not far away. Brings back a memory or two. Don’t forget Whitehouse, Texas. =D>” title=”Applause” /><p>Statistics: Posted by <a href=dare723 — Sun May 24, 2015 12:10 am
