Everyone seems to be talking about the Royals getting some home cooking – what ever that means. Guess I ought to ask the wife as she is the real sports fanatic. Regardless, Go Royals.

Seems that another Kansas weather change is upon us – Sunday we set a record high, today we might make it to the high 60s, and tomorrow we could have a low in the low 30s, possibly high 20s. Mother Nature – I was only joking in an earlier post about freezing rain on Friday #-o .

In any case, I wish everyone great camping weather and safe times.

Thanks BJ. I thought that might be it by the outline of the copters on deck. A Marine base is just down the road in Jacksonville, NC. There were more flights yesterday but no Ospreys. The ship was much further out and barely visible.

Jim – the WX will be warm here until the crew comes in on Sunday. Sat and Sun will only be in the upper 50’s. But, it will not stay cool. By the latter part of next week it should be back into the mid 70’s. This WX link will expire very soon but this is what the Weather Channel sees. http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/Emerald+Isle+NC+USNC0212. It is going to be nice!

Linda – Come on girl! :D . Gas is really down with some stores in VA being below $2.50 gal. It is a great time for that 8.1 big block Chevy to be towing your Creek. The Halloween crowd will descend by this Friday and clear out Sunday. There will be plenty of nice empty sites in the park that are just your size. Hummm – how long has it been since you last waded in the ocean surf??? We did yesterday. Even Oscar went in after his ball. I guess Ray and I could mail you another beach care package but you really should be here. :P

    Good Morning
    Image

Thanks Joe, I took that last Saturday at Wyandotte County Lake in KCKS. We’re going plan to go back this Saturday and take the same pictures and see what changes there’s been in a week. Some trees were just beginning to change.

Yes Ron and Joe, the BLUE polish will be back on “TODAY”!!

Laverne, I know it’s a lot of work getting ready to head south but I know you must be excited! Wow what pressure for your grandson…let us know how the game goes Thursday night, I’m sure it’s going to be exciting!! We have a litte cool down here for a couple of days, how do you like that? Might be a little chilly tonight for the ‘Boys in Blue’. Well maybe they will be smokin’ hot tonight and the cooler temps will be just right LOL!
Can you tell I’m torn between my “Fall” graphics, my “Halloween” graphics and my “BLUE” graphics?

I don’t have a dog in the race, so I also say, Linda put that blue nail polish back on!
We’ve been at Stone Mountain, GA for the last week and the temps have been in the 50’s at night and hovering near 80 during the days. Beautiful camping weather. Today, we pack up and move further south to Ashburn, GA where we will stay for 3 weeks. We’ll use that time to undo some of the damage caused by the last couple of weeks of partying and too much food! I’ll also do some maintenance on the truck and RV and, hopefully, wash and wax them.
Since we are now full-timers, I can now enjoy the leaves and not worry about having to clean them up! Linda, that pic of the tree on Sunday was beautiful!

  • Tech Issues • Re: New axles on our 2009 34TSA October 28, 2014
Mikey, I am not sure it was the engineers faulty design, anytime I run across a metal product stamped made in China I automatically discount it’s usefulness by 40%. I could be incorrect, but I think the Lippert stuff is made in China.

I love the concept of the oil bath bearing. Unfortunately I have always been too heavy. When they first came out I couldn’t get them in a heavy enough rating for my boat. Now, my CC needs 4000# rated hubs.

I think I may need to lose some weight.

Cathy’s Aunt passed yesterday which was a real blessing for Aunt Eva. Her quality-of-life was horrible! A sharp mind caught is a 98 year-old non-working body. I do not want to live that long!

Anyway, with Aunt Eva gone our September trip to KC. is not a must, we are planning to attend the FROG rally. Please count us in.
    Thanks,
    Jerry & Cathy

  • CCRVOC Discussion • Re: Slide Issue October 27, 2014
Another check that could have caused the drag needed to shear the bolt is the shims on top of the slide arms. These hold the slide arm gears down on the gear pack you are linking. These are small washer like shims that seem to wear out and allow the slide to twist and increasing the strain on the gear packs. Just something else to check. The same system used to be used on the electric front jacks with the same results, sheared bolt in the linking arm. Good luck.

I am excited there were no injuries. Having a new trailer with just the right options will be great but having to wait for it is rough. Wish them well from the club.
