It's a good idea to sanitize the RV water system every spring when you take the RV out of storage or whenever there as an odor or issue with the RV water system. This RV DIY video demonstrates how to do it.

We are going camping this weekend and decided to sanitize the fresh water tank and water lines for the 1st time since owning our RV. We never really used the fresh water tank, but now we may. So join us as we go through the steps we did.
Both of our videos about sanitizing an RV fresh water tank used our motorhome's winterizing kit to add bleach to the system. But what if you don't have a winterizing kit? Here's a simple solution!

Mait Parker at the Great Outdoors RV Company walks you through the workings of your RV's water system. City water hookups potable water tank, maintenance and much more!
Other great tips from guests:
-Always flush water hose and valve before you hook up the water to your RV
-Connect the water pressure regulator to the valve end, then connect the hose. This will prevent a blowout if the water pressure is too high.
In this video I will show you how to dewinterize and sanitize your water system in your RV. Easily get your RV ready to go camping. Also in the video is basic information on how to get your propane system primed and first startup of your propane appliances with some tips. Ple...
We’ve all been taught that a flush wand is all we need to clean our RV’s water heater. Water runs clear = clean. NOT! We use a video borescope to take you inside our heater to show the real story.
We’ve made 3 previous videos about flushing & cleaning RV water heaters. One for Suburban, one for Atwood, and one as an update to the first one, after we discovered that the aftermarket anode we were trying out wasn’t working. This new video replaces all three.

One downside to moving your house to so many different locations can be the varied and unknown quality of the water available. Many RVs have a rust, scale and sedimen...
In this video, we show you how we sanitize our RV's fresh water tank. This is for the TANK ONLY and not the entire system. Fresh water has been running through our lines for several weeks, but none has been in the fresh water tank since the early fall. So, we are sanitizing the tank only this time. Just another day in the life of a full time RV'r.
