Nu-Wa is only accepting orders through Sept 15, 2012. They just don’t sell enough to keep their factory going. ( Read about it here : http://www.nuwa.com/news/questions/99/?goback=%2Egde_1941545_member_147575725 ).
They point out a nice solution in their letter – not necessarily planning on doing it – but list it as an option – having one manufacturer build units to Nu-Wa specifications. That solution is what the semiconductor industry has been doing for about 10-15 years and is accelerating. Many American semiconductor companies are really just design & marketing firms and the semiconductor chips are built at a contract manufacturing site such as Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company ( TSMC ). So the solution is at least working in another industry.
