Greetings from Thompson, Manitoba, Canada. I love your website and appreciate the information that you pass on to RVers.
I noticed that this section relating to RV parks around the country contains little information about our area. Maybe I can help here.
I have lived here in northern Manitoba for over 30 years and there are lots of things to do here in the north.
Our city has a nick name of the WOLF CAPITOL of the world. We do have wolves but sightings of this animal are infrequent. We have a “WALK WITH THE WOLVES” trail through the city. This is a great information path of the area. There is a trail around the city called “THE MILLENIUM TRAIL”. It is about 12 Kilometers and follows the river which passes by Thompson and then through part of the boreal forest, giving the walker a great sense of the north. Thompson was started in the 1950’s as a town for the Inco nickel mine so we are a unique and novel city of about 15,000 people of which approximately 50% are aboriginal. The city is laid out very differently than a normal grid town. Thompson is on the rail line to Churchill, Manitoba which is the POLAR BEAR CAPITOL of the world.
Best of all, Thompson lies almost at the 56th parallel, almost at the end of the road north. It is a long drive but well worth it in the end. I urge people to come a see for yourselves. WE ARE PART OF FRIENDLY MANITOBA!

Thanks Dale for you great writeup AND your kind words about RV52! If you want to write standalone articles that RV52 would publish OR even make sure there are standalone pages for any of your area’s attractions, I’d be more than happy to oblige.
